CBS sold the timeslot occupied by late-night host Stephen Colbert to comedian and Allen Media Group CEO Byron Allen. The Late Show with Stephen Colbert will air its final episode on May 21, after which the 11:35 p.
After the final episode of The Late Show With Stephen Colbert airs on May 21st, his time slot will be filled with episodes of the Byron Allen series Comics Unleashed, which is hosted by Allen and which features stand-up comics sitting around telling jokes.
CBS briefly replaced James Corden's "The Late Late Show" with "Comics Unleashed" starting in 2023 after Corden stepped away from late-night. This time slot after "The Late Show" was later occupied by the comedy game show "After Midnight," which was canceled in 2025 and replaced by "Comics Unleashed" again.
While the other broadcast networks are still going through renewals of their strongest comedies and dramas, CBS already has wrapped all of its scripted renewals and cancellations.
