Amazon said Wednesday it is eliminating about 16,000 corporate jobs as part of “organizational changes” across the company.
The invitation was written by Amazon executive Colleen Aubrey. It was cancelled soon after being sent, stoking confusion among some employees.

The company cited failure to achieve “a truly distinctive customer experience with the right economic model needed for large-scale expansion.
